It's easy to say "oh but u can just put more time into it and ull get it without money", although in the modern day game industry that's absolutely ludicrous and anyone who is not willing to pay real money knows this it will simply take extreme dedication to get the items without money and a huge amount of free time.
Now i agree with you that it's not always pay to win if the items can be gained by playtime, however, it is pay to win if you can instantly buy your way into this. Nice to hear it's going to be free to play after all but even then it's absolutely respectless to charge 30 bucks for early access.Įarly access is there for people to help the development, not to sneak in a quick buck for developers. Well paying for XP boosts doesn't instantly grant you the best equipment, it just speeds up your XP gaining.
I haven't played the game yet, but that's from what I have gathered from other players answers. If the stuff you can buy for real money is either cosmetic or stuff you could grind anyway then it's not pay to win in my opinion. LoL is p2w because you can pay with real money for runes and heroes. It's like saying WoW is p2w because you can get XP boosts. Paying for it only speeds up the process and makes it less grindy to get certain equipment or cars. Regarding pay to win, according to some players the stuff you can buy for money is something you can also get via normal play ingame. It's only the closed beta which costs 30 euro and gives you an equivalent of ingame goodies for it.
